“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a saviour who is Christ the Lord.” The month of December calls us for the celebration of universal festival, the festival of love and peace ‘CHRISTMAS’. The celebration which adieus farewell to the passing year. Bethlehem Fiesta - Santa is knocking was celebrated by SMcianzs by decorating the campus with glittering stars, colorful lights, artistic greeting cards and a beautiful crib. The programme started with the prayer song by the students. Ms. Shilpa student of final M.Com welcomed the gathering. Chief guest Mr.Akhil P, district youth officer along with Very Rev.Fr. Stany Pereira – the correspondent of the college, Rev.Fr.Anil Avild Lobo - the Principal, Rev.Fr.Rithesh Rodrigues - the guest faculty M.Com department, Mr.Vincent D’Souza - the Vice principal inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp. In his inaugural speech Mr. Akhil P wished the gathering a happy Christmas and also a prosperous new year. He urged the students to be away from all kinds of bad addictions and to build the nations with a upright personality.
The Christmas dance and Christmas carol by the students added glory to the celebration. Our beloved principal Rev. Fr. Anil Avild Lobo explained the importance of Christmas celebration. In his Presidential address Very Rev. Fr. Stany Pereira, the correspondent of the college called the students to lead the life by sharing and caring each other, which is the real meaning of the celebration of Christmas. The cultural programmes by students of various classes added beauty to the celebration. The Santa’s entry added more fun to the celebration. The Musical fusion by ABC Band with its unique musical set elevated the spirit of celebration to a next level. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Sahana of first year M.Com. Ms. Aneesha and Ms. Keerthi compered the programme.
