INAUGURAL AND INDUCTION PROGRAMME - 2021-22

St Mary’s College Bela always wants its students to have a broad understanding of society and relationships. We, at SMC, believe that every student’s character needs to be nurtured and molded. By which one would understand and fulfil responsibility as a graduate, a citizen and a human person. We work keenly with new students in making them feel comfortable, allowing them to explore their academic interests, building a healthy competition that makes them strive for excellence. We promote a steadfast and long-lasting bonding among them, build positive relationship between teachers and students, give a broader view of life, and build a strong character.

Bearing aforesaid rudiments in mind the college organized inaugural and induction programme for the First-Year students on 25th October 2021, at 10 am. The programme was compeered by Mrs. Uma ,Department of commerce. Through a devotional hymn every one sought God’s grace. The induction programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the Correspondent V. Rev Fr Stany Pereira, the principal Rev. Fr Anil Avild Lobo, the vice principal Mr Vincent DSouza and student Co-ordinators. The principal of the college Rev. Fr Anil Avild Lobo welcomed the gathering and the Correspondent V. Rev Fr Stany Pereira briefed the students on the Vision and Mission of the College. All the lecturers were introduced by principal to the new students. Mrs. Vidya , Department of commerce proposed the vote of thanks.

Inaugural session was followed by induction programme for the First-year students. At the beginning the principal initiated the event by conducting ice-breaking session. Through which he motivated the students to build confidence level, to feel comfortable in all the circumstances and open up for new environment. Group dynamics activities were organized by Mrs. Juliana, who made the students think more. This event is followed by "Opportunity"- a career guidance talk given by Mrs. Yashashree. At the end to make the students to be more participative a quiz was conducted by Mr. Ravindra Pai, Department of commerce.There was an active participation from the part of new comers that made their day a memorable one.
